Hey guys, I'm going into my second semester of college in a few weeks and I wanted to make a fresh start. My first semester was okay, a few hookups here and there but nothing too spectacular. But one important thing is that I never really established a social circle. I ended up eating alone sometimes or going to a party with only my roommate or a friend and occasionally we couldn't find anything to do which was kinda lame. I guess one problem is that I have trouble being myself at school when I'm around people I don't know because I'm kinda shy but at home when I'm with my friends I'm usually funny and outgoing. So basically I'm just looking for some tips and shit on how to create a good social circle while I'm still a freshman so I can go out and have an awesome college experience.

Sounds like you have a bigger problem than not having a social circle. You're shy.
I have lunch by myself some days. I have to get it between 1:15 and 2:00. How many people have class from 1-2 on mondays, wednesdays, and fridays? Just about everybody. I use it as an excuse to talk to any attractive females that may also be eating alone.
Being yourself around people you don't know is how you get a social circle in the first place.
Work on that shyness.
